Enjoy Life at Sea with a Boat Dry Dock

Before you purchased your boat, you probably pictured yourself sailing on it to enjoy the magnificence of the sea and its creatures. Being at sea can be really fulfilling and relaxing, but not everyone is aware of all the work that boats require to be in perfect condition. To be able to enjoy the sea breeze without any issues, you have to think of antifouling solutions.

For many years, antifouling paint was the only way to keep marine organisms at bay. Weed, barnacles and other species can attach themselves to the hull of the boat and affect both the hull and the propellers, preventing the boat to perform properly. Boat lifts have been available on the market for quite some time, but many owners prefer to stay away from them. This can be due to many reasons, either because their vessels are too heavy or because their marinas or councils do not allow them. A lot of boat owners simply do not like dealing with the hassle of lifting the boat out of the water. A floating dry dock system is a great way to look after your vessel if your marina does not allow boat lifts or if you are ready for a change.

Sea Pen docks can make things very easy for boat owners. The dock is at water level, so you would simply have to manoeuvre the vehicle into it. The system does all the rest of the work for you. Once the vessel is in place, the dock closes and all the water is drained out. There is a mesh of rope that improves the air flow and lets your boat rest on an air pocket that keeps it stable. After about 25 minutes, the boat will be completely dry. The dry docks work with a variety of drives, so go to your specialist to find the one for your boat.
